Et tu, Disqus?

Up until last week, I was using Disqus to have commenting on the posts, but I never realized integrating Disqus in the blog was force displaying ads. Checking on Disqus’ website, I see that I can disable the “In-thread” and “Below Comments” ads, but the “Above Comments” ads are blocked behind a premium subscription.

Since there is no reason for me to be currently paying for a premium of a service that I barely use, and displaying ads are not an option, I went ahead and disabled it. I am most likely to explore the possibility of self-hosting an open source solution that can do the same thing, but I will write a proper update when I have it all figured out.
